Handy Youth Construction

Creating early-entry pathways into construction and skilled trades through mentorship,
hands-on learning, and real-world exposure.

Program Overview

Handy Youth Construction is a youth workforce development initiative delivered through the
Black Enterprise & Trades Network (BETN). The program introduces young people to
construction, skilled trades, and practical problem-solving through supervised hands-on
learning experiences designed to build confidence, awareness, and early workforce readiness.

Rather than directing participants toward one fixed path, Handy Youth helps young people
explore opportunities through practical skills training, mentorship, safety education, and
exposure to real-world industry environments.
